Day by day
On the first day of the trip we meet at the port of Tangier, then drive through the Rif mountains and the city of Tetouan, enjoying views of the mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, one of the striking villages at the foot of the Rif. In the medina of Chefchaouen we find the Spanish-style central square, surrounded by craft workshops and shops, along with some of the best restaurants and cafes in town. The trip continues towards Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other towns of the Rif. Volubilis is an important Roman archaeological site that reveals part of Morocco's historical past. After the visit we head to the nearby historic city of Meknes, where we stop for lunch and walk along the walls of its medina, see Bab El Mansour, and visit the sanctuary of Moulay Ismail. After Meknes we continue directly to Fes, where you spend the night in a riad.
